Castro's Beard

Brett and Scott Siler's avant garde electro acoustic group Castro's Beard! Their first album REPOSE album features a series of spontaneous compositions that tell a story of creeping onslaught, torture, death and transcendence. "Slow Motion Bloodshed" is densely layered with explosive, crashing percussion, haunting moans, thick distortion, tearing speakers, screeching feedback and industrial decay. "Ecstatic Pain" violently bursts into jagged cut up breakbeats, manipulated CPU and digital monophonic guitar glitches. Finally "Transcendence (Waiting To Die)" is a piece of hypnotic drones, eerie cries, somber, mysterious, howling guitar lines and soothing synth melodies. With performances that feature intensely telepathic interaction between the players and bold sonic exploration, the layers of mystery unfold upon each listen.
